A Day as a Hero

After 7 months of work (on and off), I present:

A Day as a Hero

The game  is about a young man trying to protect his village.
Evil monsters has set up camps around the village, and each night, they try to attack the city!
Our Hero must defend the city – he will do so by taking jobs during the day, to earn gold and crystals that he must use to build a defense against the monsters.

Features:
9 minigames (jobs) plus a traveling blackjack dealer, and -merchant.
5 item classes, with over 40 items total (which can be upgraded), plus scrolls and elixirs.
Different attributes that affects the different jobs.
Quests and rewards.
Each and every graphic-sprite is made by myself (except the items).

During nighttime, the game changes to a towerdefense-game:
27 different unlockable towers and passive abilities.
6 different special abilities.
12 monsters.

Traffic Master

My new game is out :)
You are the Traffic Master of an entire city, and your job is to guide the traffic through the various districts of the city, without slowing down the traffic.
You’ll do this by changing traffic-lights, guiding rescue veichles safely through the city, shooting drunk men, blowing up chrashed drivers, taking out fires, searching for criminals, gaining special skills and much more..

It comes complete with a passive ingame tutorial and an online highscore table.

The zip file is located here: http://host-a.net/lord_heman/Traffic_master.zip

You are very welcome to write to me, with comments, and/or suggestions to improve the game at lord_heman(a)hotmail.com  -  (a)=@

EDIT:
The game has hit 250 downloads today. It got a second place out of 28 games, in a local Gamemaker-competition, and has entered the Cave Match at the Gamemaker Community.
I’m quite glad for this, since I’ve tried to hit the right idea, for quite some time!
So a really big thanks to everyone who commented and made suggestions for this game :)

Hi guys =)

Well, just wanted to say, that I know it has been a couple of months since my last post, but I’m working like crazy on 3d-programming.. And damn, thats a bit tougher than the usual 2d code :) But I’m making progress, and when i feel like I can handle it, I’ll try to make a 3d game (I dont want to make a lame doom-clone, so I’d rather wait for i while, till’ I feel I really can handle 3d-programming)

Fight ‘n Defend

EDIT: *SIGH*!!!! I made a fatal error at the very begining at this code, making it impossiple to switch cards in the players deck… Dammit! I’ve used such a long time on this. Well I will upload the .Gm6, and you guys can rewrite it if you want.. It comes with the graphics and all..

Please give credit to lord_heman(at)hotmail(nospam)com if you use it

Hello out there.
Fight ‘n Defend is a Single-player - turnbased – card strategy game, with a twist of roleplaying!

Well, for my next game, I have chosen to make a card-based game. In Fight ‘n Defend, the player will be able to customize his deck with over 100 different cards + the player will create a hero, whom can hold and use over 40 items (many of the items has unique spells and abilities).

Since i had a lot of succes with Kings of Might (look further down, ik you want to check it out), I have chosen to make the game in the same style.. But it is not even NEAR the same game. In Fight ‘n Defend, the user will travel around in dungeons, caves, castles and so on. Here the player will meet alot of different monsters ect., and he must battle them, with hes deck against the monsters.

Furthermore the player can choose to specialise in one of 3 different elements. Each one with its own special cards! The player will also recieve gold, silver and other precious items, wich can be used for trading/buying/selling cards and items, and bribing monsters, and much more!

The game is on the final stages of completion, so come back soon, and check it out ;)

Soldier Kingdom

Hello out there! After a few month of work i give you:

Soldier Kingdom

Soldier Kingdom is a hot-seat turnbased strategy game, where up to 4 players compete for world domination! You think you’ve heard that phrase before?! Well my new strategy game, adds a new dimention to that same-old boring gameplay, that you’re used to!

In Soldier Kingdom, you must choose wisely when to harvest and gain resources. Harvest to early, and you might find that specific resource impossiple to get later on. Harvest to late, and you might find that your opponent makes a suprise attack, harvest your resource, and skrews you over. Because in Soldier Kingdom, the turns dosn’t go clockwise or counter clockwise, like you’re always used to. It’s a whole new way of playing strategic game, and you’ll just have to download and play the game, to see what i’ve been up to ;)

The game is finished, but for balancing-purposes I will wait with the upload, untill I’ve had a couple of friends over, drinking some beer, and trying the game, so they might point out some bugs/fixes.
